Transforming Homes, Creating Jobs, Securing the Future

Over the past 2.5 years, through Department for Energy Security and Net Zero funding, we have delivered:

Energy efficiency improvements to nearly 3,000 homes across the West Midlands
11,000+ energy-saving measures
£78M in capital investment

From April 2025, our Devolved Retrofit Programme will expand our impact, improving over 10,000 properties with a flexible, place-based approach across all housing types. Beyond achieving EPC C ratings, we’ll focus on carbon reduction, lower energy bills, and real benefits for residents’ health and well-being.

This initiative will also drive job creation with 20,000 new jobs created by 2026 – increasing the supply chain by 70,000 by 2040 – with 140,000 workers needing to be reskilled to support our Net Zero future.

To sustain this growth, we need contractors to establish a presence in the region, supporting local businesses and skills development. Our Managed Support programme will help to ensure successful delivery, tackling fuel poverty and raising living standards.
