Recognising outstanding retrofit projects across the UK
Rising stars in a vibrant market
Launched in 2022, The Retrofit Academy Awards present an opportunity to recognise hard work and dedication to outstanding retrofit projects across the UK, from retrofit coordinators to designers and installers, social landlords, and local authorities, as well as individual projects, both large and small. We also use this platform to recognise the rising stars in this exciting, vibrant market at a crucially important time for our industry and country.
Always free to enter
The awards are, and will always be, free to enter. We intend to keep The Retrofit Academy Awards open and accessible to the great and the good in this sector and ensure strong representation from all corners of the UK.
Celebrating retrofit excellence
We avoid the traditional and formal awards dinners too. Instead, we opt for a more informal occasion: focussing on the opportunity to network with the room, forging new friendships and partnerships, then raising a glass as we highlight and celebrate retrofit excellence together.
In our first year, we had 60 entries across seven categories, and more than 200 people attended the awards presentation – which took place at Futurebuild 2022: one of the larger events on the calendar for professionals in the built environment. All who attended said it was a resounding success and favoured our approach to that of a sit-down dinner with a black-tie dress code.
