RETROFIT ACADEMY HUBS

For further and higher educational institutions

Educational Partnerships

The Retrofit Academy CIC has led the way in retrofit training for several years. We have developed four regulated qualifications and trained retrofitters nationwide. We are widely recognised as being a partner to government and industry in retrofit.

If we are to train 200,000 competent retrofitters by the end of this decade, our higher and further educational sectors need to be training large volumes of learners quickly. And for that to be successful, we have to overcome the barriers that currently stand in the way.  These include:

  • a lack of tutor knowledge
  • no access to course materials
  • insufficient assessors and IQAs
  • lack of employer demand

That is why we have developed a Training Partnership to help support institutions to build their capabilities in retrofit without taking undue risks. We offer a structured programme of support, routes to market and a brand reputation second-to-none.

We operate a Hub and Spoke model across the UK. Partners can become a Retrofit Academy Hub in their own right, or share the License with complimentary institutions.

Training Partnerships Licence Benefits

There are many benefits to the Training Partnership License, including:

  • Access to all learning and teaching resources

Who Can Apply?

Further and higher education institutions can apply to become a Retrofit Academy Hub, serving specific demand in areas of the UK. This is achieved through a Training Partnership License available at County or Local Authority level.

Who Is It For?

The Training Partnership License is suitable for education centres offering qualifications from level 2-5. Above all else, you’ll need the commitment to work with us to train retrofitters to the highest standards.

Our Qualifications

The Retrofit Academy has designed and developed four leading qualifications. We work with our Hubs to start delivering these courses to support their local markets.

  • Level 2 Award in Understanding Domestic Retrofit
  • Level 3 Award in Domestic Retrofit Advice
  • Level 4 Award in Domestic Retrofit Assessment
  • Level 5 Diploma in Retrofit Coordination and Risk Management

The Retrofit Academy’s Growing Hub Network

By becoming a Retrofit Academy Hub you will join our ever-growing network of Hubs around the country.

Only one License is available in each county or local authority area, meaning that you will be the only provider in your local area. The Retrofit Academy’s growing reputation, increasing marketing capabilities and our partnerships with national employers and key social landlords will help drive demand.
