Taylor Lewis has been recognised as a 2025 finalist in the prestigious Best Retrofit Employer Award at the Retrofit Academy CIC Awards.

Their involvement with education initiatives like the Green Construction Advisory Panel (GCAP) at Exeter College further demonstrates their commitment to bridging the skills gap and preparing the next generation of retrofit professionals.

Taylor Lewis – Driving Excellence in Retrofit and Workforce Development
Taylor Lewis offers a one-stop service for both clients and their customers to assist on projects from conception to completion. They currently have a dedicated Retrofit Department, which comprises a Project Support Team to provide effective customer liaison with clients’ tenants, with most of the team qualified to Level 2 in the Introduction to Retrofit accreditation. This enables them to have a sound understanding of retrofit when communicating with both clients and residents.
To complete the Retrofit Department, they have accredited retrofit professionals, including a Level 3 Retrofit Advisor, Level 4 Retrofit Assessors, and Level 5 Retrofit Coordinators.
Taylor Lewis recognises that there is a need to ensure that the existing and future workforce in this sector receives proper training. They are proud to be one of the key members of the “Green Construction Advisory Panel” (GCAP) run by Exeter College, where education works alongside industry and training bodies to provide relevant and necessary training for the Energy Sector and its future.
Working with the GCAP to build a specialist training centre for Exeter College, which opened last Spring and will be instrumental in training the next generation of green skills.
Last summer, as founding members of the Exeter GCAP, they were invited to attend the first Western Gateway Green Construction Advisory Panel, hosted by AccXel Construction School in Cinderford, Gloucestershire, where they offered industry knowledge to help bridge the gap between education and construction while addressing key industry challenges such as achieving carbon reduction targets, retrofitting housing stock, and adapting to new building regulations and green efficiencies.
