The Retrofit Academy has now trained over 1800 Retrofit Coordinators nationwide! At the inaugural Retrofit Academy Awards, when it came the moment to choose just one, it was down to our panel of judges to decide who stood out from the crowd when it came to delivering on the retrofit challenge.
Geordie is the Scheme Manager at Cosy Homes Oxfordshire, a home retrofit service that aims to make it easier for homeowners across Oxfordshire to make their homes energy efficient. He is a trained, qualified Retrofit Coordinator and manages the Cosy Homes team who are based in Charlbury, Oxfordshire. Geordie is a skilled construction and project manager with over 25 years experience both in the UK and internationally. He is passionate about finding and delivering sustainable and energy efficient solutions in the domestic and built environment.

Geordie’s story about his recent project, retrofitting a 140-year-old house, summarised perfectly what an important role the retrofit coordinator plays in changing lives for the better.
“The joy in the eyes of the clients when we handed it back… It was a very emotional moment. I think my eyes were welling up as well! Very, very satisfying. So, I’m constantly encouraging people to be retrofit coordinators.“
