Funding

The Retrofit Academy has secured millions of pounds to reduce the cost of training for organisations and individuals wanting to develop new skills in retrofit.

Our funders include the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, as well as regional and local government. We target this funding where possible to best support the industry or retrofit programmes and to support disadvantaged people.

We are constantly exploring new avenues to secure additional funding, ensuring that our resources remain robust and our offerings remain accessible.

ACCESS TO FUNDING

The availability of funding often depends on your circumstances, including where you live, what you do and where you do it.

Some funding, such as Skills Bootcamps, is highly localised, available only to certain types of people in a particular county, for example.

Other funding is more widely available. For example, we have secured £1 million to subsidise a range of retrofit training across the whole of England through the government’s Home Decarbonisation Skills Competition. However, eligibility criteria may vary, and not all individuals or organisations may qualify for every funding opportunity.

We strive to provide clear and transparent information about the eligibility requirements for each funding source, ensuring that interested parties can make informed decisions.
