Founding Life Fellows Unveiled by The Retrofit Academy

Recognition from UK’s driving force in retrofit skills and knowledge for outstanding contributions to retrofit policy, projects and professional practice.

The Retrofit Academy launched its new Professional Membership this week to recognise and signpost expertise in advice, assessment, coordination and design. 19 Life Fellows have been unveiled– a designation reserved for individuals whose expertise and influence in the retrofit sector are profound.

The newly appointed Life Fellows are recognised not only for their vast experience but also for their contributions to advancing sustainable practices, improving building performance, and shaping industry standards. The Life Fellows will play an active role in The Retrofit Academy’s growing community of best practice, engaging in various activities such as delivering masterclasses and sharing their knowledge.

David Pierpoint, CEO of The Retrofit Academy commented on the importance of this new initiative:

“These Life Fellows have made a huge contribution to retrofit best practice, policy and programmes over many years. As we start to scale retrofit up, it is fair to say that these pioneers have been largely responsible for the good practices in advice, assessment, coordination and design that provide the foundations on which we now build. They are characterised by a shared passion for high-quality retrofit and are committed to sharing their knowledge with our emerging community of best practice. We are honoured they have accepted our invitation and look forward to a long-term partnership with them. “
