Many organisations are urgently seeking skilled retrofitters for large-scale programmes, driven by the government’s investment of billions of pounds. With over 27 million homes in need of retrofitting, the current skills gap means much of the funding remains unspent because we lack the capacity and capability to deliver.
We have just 27 years to decarbonise our housing stock, and many places have set far more ambitious targets. To help the UK meet its goal, we’re building a network of franchised Retrofit Academy Hubs to tackle the huge workforce shortage, working closely with our partners to scale the output of skilled retrofitters.
Through our training network and training license partnerships, we’re on a mission to train and develop 50,000 Retrofit Professionals by 2030.
