Who is it for?

CITB funding is available for:

• CITB-registered employers – Companies that contribute to the CITB levy can use this funding to upskill their workforce and stay competitive in the growing retrofit sector.
• Individual professionals – If you work for a CITB-registered employer, you can take advantage of fully or partially funded training to boost your skills in high-demand areas like retrofit.

What Qualifications Are Eligible?

• Level 2 Award in Understanding Domestic Retrofit
• Level 2 Award in External Wall Insulation and Treatments
• Level 3 Award in Energy Efficiency for Older and Traditional Buildings
• Level 4 Award in Domestic Retrofit Assessment
• Level 5 Diploma in Retrofit Coordination and Risk Management

In addition, with our new lower prices for courses such as Understanding Domestic Retrofit and External Wall Insulation (EWI), the Short Qualifications Grant from CITB could also contribute towards travel, expenses, and time off the job!

Short Qualification Grant

Receive £600 for each qualification achieved. This funding applies to all the qualifications above provided they are completed within one year and applied for up to 52 weeks after completion.

Skills and Training Fund

Covers up to 100% of training costs for registered employers with fewer than 100 staff up to £10,000. Employers with 100-250 staff can apply for up to £25,000.

Employer Networks

Get a rapid decision on training for larger groups via a local CITB Employer Network, covering up to 70% of the total cost.
