The Retrofit Academy Awards 2022: Large Retrofit Project of the Year
Congratulations Melius Homes!
Scalability is not so far from our grasp and for this award we recognise a great achievement of retrofitting. Our last award highlighted the pioneering of retrofit quality on a smaller scale, this next awards the older brother of those projects, who, wrapping a warm arm of energy savings and increased comfort and health outcomes around its clients, really impressed with their submission.
Our Judges’ Criteria:
- Adoption of the key principles and practices of PAS 2035
- Successful implatationn of a PAS 2035 approach:
> Customer advice and engagement in the retrofit process
> Dwelling assessment
> Retrofit coordination
> Retrofit design
> Retrofit installation, commissioning, and handover
> Evaluation
Melius Homes gave an exceptionally detailed submission, including direct quotes from the tenants and monitoring information which showcase the high-performance achieved. Our Judges’ felt that there were fantastic approaches to customer service, with the demonstrable benefit of energy savings. It is also worth noting that that particular project featured at COP26!
